While waiting in the Lubbock airport I let Oliver feed a dollar into the foot massager.
Oliver naturally threw his arms back and enjoyed the ride.
On arrival to California we found our bags delayed so Sarai took the kiddos to get free Starbucks treats with a food voucher while I went to pick up the rental car. Oliver befriended a helpful police officer and discussed the finer points of pokemon.
After arrival to the apartment I found that Anne has stocked it with tons of delightful treats and a scribble from baby Richard:
And finally dinner, we walked a few blocks over from Anne’s apartment to Japantown and enjoyed fine Ramen at Waraku.
This place takes Ramen to a whole new level. We also enjoyed some Karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken), Edamame, dumplings, Kobe beef Harami BBQ, noodles and sticky rice, all washed down with a pitcher of Sapporo.
