Tonight, we had a lot going on. The kids were building cork boats in the dining room, making balloon rockets and transferring little black pom poms from one bowl to another while we cooked some kale and hoppin’ john in the kitchen.
Jared’s been researching how to cook beans, and so we soaked the black-eyed peas overnight with some salt to make sure they didn’t burst when we cooked them.
It turned out to be a good dinner- we even got Kit Kat to try the kale.
